Our rooms
Top-quality Appenzeller craftwork along with fresh, appealing colours create an inviting impression in all our hotel rooms. Enjoy the comfort of stylish furnishing and modern facilities. Hotel Löwen has 28 newly renovated hotel rooms, many of which are decorated in original Appenzeller style.
Double rooms
Many of our double rooms (20-30m²) are furnished with beautiful handcrafted wood, others have unique furniture decorated with traditional hand-painted Appenzeller pictures. All rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, with bath tubs or shower, WC, radio, direct-dial telephones, hair-dryer, TV, safe and free Wifi.
Single rooms
Our single rooms (15-20m²) have 140cm wide beds and some have unique Appenzell hand-painted furniture. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, equipped with bath tub or shower, WC, radio, direct-dial telephone, hair-dryer, TV, safe and free Wifi.
GOOD TO KNOW
The price of your stay is calculated per room and per night and includes breakfast from our breakfast buffet. The visitor’s tax of CHF 2.50 per person per night will be added to the price of your stay.
Appenzell holiday discount card
If you book a stay for 3 nights or more you are entitled to the Appenzell holiday discount card. With this card you can benefit from over 20 free offers in the region.
Check in/Check out
Your room is available from 3pm on the day of your arrival and until 12 noon on the day of your departure. Should you plan to arrive after 8 pm, we kindly ask you to contact us in advance.
Breakfast
The breakfast buffet is available from 7am until 10am on the first floor.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in all our hotel rooms.
Parking
We have a limited number of hotel parking spaces, subject to an additional charge.
Extra beds
We have cots and extra/sofa beds for an additional price.
